Using Communication
The development of Language and Literacy is a fundamental part of the whole Primary Curriculum.
In Cairncastle Primary School the children are provided with a variety of opportunities to read, write and engage in talking and listening activities.
The development of phonic skills is encouraged to assist the children in their reading and writing.
Our structured reading schemes help pupils to develop a sight vocabulary.
The children are encouraged to become effective communicators by using a range of resources including ICT to convey information and ideas.
